Hardy's Reindeer Ranch, in Rantoul, IL, is the area's leading seasonal market serving Vermillion, Champaign and Macon counties and surrounding areas since 1995. We offer a corn maze, pumpkins, hay rides, reindeer tours, pedal race carts, a paintball gallery, a gift shop, Christmas trees, pumpkins and much more. Alaskan Reindeer in central Illinois? Yes! I knew a roadtrip to this unique ranch was in order when I first learned of it. I grabbed a hot coffee and audiobook and made the 2-hour drive to experience it firsthand. From my first glimpse of the sign in Rantoul, IL, until I left the ranch an hour later, I was in love. Easy parking, a beautiful Christmas-themed gift shop, a warm cafe with hot food, hot cocoa and iced sugar cookies and… the real stars of the ranch- the majestic reindeer, made this roadtrip one of my most memorable of the year! Being able to feed and KISS a real reindeer was a bucket list item I had no idea I needed! The only thing that wasn’t so great was that I read recently that the farm is up for sale in 2025. I hope its not true, but if it is, I hope that any potential buyers plan to keep this gem running well. The cost of the reindeer tour and experience was just $10 per person and the food in the cafe was reasonably-priced. If you get the opportunity, Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch is a must stop! And, if anyone has an extra few million sitting around that they would like to sponsor me with, I’m willing to learn how to run a reindeer ranch ( :

This was possibly one of the cutest experiences yet. Between meeting the owner, and his very friendly dog, drinking hot cider by a real wood stove, and meeting the sweetest reindeer (and admittedly only reindeer) this place was the best. I felt like my husband and I really got one on one time petting the deer and the baby reindeer. It was a very fun experience, and we got to pick out old times ornaments. Very cute, we will be back.
